Legislative Call to Action to Defend Medicaid
Our Mission
District 3 of the Maryland Nurses Association (MNA) is delighted to represent nurses who live and work in Anne Arundel County. District 3 is the home of Maryland’s State capital, Annapolis, situated on the Chesapeake Bay at the mouth of the Severn River, 25 miles (40 km) south of Baltimore and about 30 miles (50 km) east of Washington, D.C., Annapolis is part of the Baltimore–Washington metropolitan area. Our membership of approximately 400, represents a wide variety of professional nurses from various healthcare settings, experiences, and areas of expertise.
Membership in District 3 will provide you with technical information, advocacy, and professional networking opportunities, which will help advance your career. District 3 members can serve in a wide variety of venues on the District, State, and National levels. Members are welcome to serve on a task force or as part of a committee, of which there are many to choose from.
District 3’s members hold bi-monthly conference calls with the Board of Directors. We like to keep up with the latest advances, innovations, and healthcare trends and have a “Tech Talk” during our meetings. Typically, we host two dinner gatherings with a continuing education component during Nurses Week in May, and again in November, however, we are currently meeting virtually for all our assemblies.
The District Officers and Board of Directors welcome all nurses to join us in the celebration and preservation of our profound profession. We particularly enjoy these opportunities to network and learn together.
All nurses are welcome to participate in and attend District 3 events.
